Pregnancy Must-Haves: 8 Items That Will Make Your Life Easier

Being pregnant isn’t the easiest thing to go through from going through body changes, aches and pains, not knowing what products are safe to use, etc etc. However, there are products that have made my life as a pregnant lady easy that I want to share with you all. I hope these products can help you as they have helped me.

8 Pregnancy Must Haves

  1. Belly Band

A support band is super helpful to relieve round ligament pain or simply relieve pressure when your belly starts to feel heavy. I wore a band while at work since that’s when I was most uncomfortable to be proactive in preventing round ligament pain. I noticed a huge difference in my body on the days I did not wear it. I bought one from Belly Bandit and received a free one through insurance.

2. Compression Socks

If you are a frequent traveler or on your feet a lot for work, you definitely need compression socks. I bought these before our trip to Hawaii because it was such a long flight. I literally had no swelling or discomfort thanks to these socks. The rule of thumb is to get socks that are long so they are not cutting off any circulation. If you have large calves, you can opt for full-on compression stockings.

3. Maternity/Nursing Bra

The first sign of pregnancy for me was my boob changes. I immediately couldn't handle bras with an underwire and quickly grew out of my bras. It is never too early to purchase maternity bras, they will also be useful when the baby is here. These have been my favorite so far to lounge around the house in.

4. Portable Fans

I don’t know if it’s just me or if it is a pregnancy symptom, but I was ALWAYS hot. It legit felt like I was having hot flashes when I went anywhere, so I started keeping a portable fan in my car. This made it easier for me to enjoy getting out of the house for a while even if it’s just to walk the grocery store.

5. Crystal Peel Microdermabrasion Exfoliating Soap Body Bar

This exfoliating soap boar was recommended to me by my waxer. With all my hormone changes I was sweating more which caused more ingrown hairs. Which sucked, because I could not see down there anymore. Therefore, I needed something to help me out. This product is chemical-free and helpful to exfoliate the skin to assist with fewer ingrowns. I used it 3 times a week to help fight those ingrown hairs from making appearances.

6. Seat Cushion

I experienced extreme tailbone pain from sitting at work, in the car, or on any other surface that is not my bed or yoga ball. Having a seat cushion to provide support is a lifesaver. I highly recommend it for anyone who sits for a long period of time at work or on the road.

7. Squatty Potty

You may hear that pregnant women suffer from constipation, however, that wasn’t my story and I truly believe the squatty potty played a role in that. A squatty potty allows you to position your body into a nice comfortable squat. This position helps it all come out with ease, with no straining, etc. (Sorry if this is TMI)

8. Bidet

This is just as important as a squatty potty. If at any point I feel like I might struggle with a bowel movement, I use the bidet and it solves all of my problems. A bidet can decrease constipation and is a great way to clean back there when your belly gets a little too big to move around like you used to. This is also a good investment that will be helpful during your postpartum healing.
