The 4 Cashback and Reward Apps You Need to Be Using

I’m unsure if you know this about me, but I am frugal. I love nice things on a BUDGET, lol. I’m always shopping for a sale, on a clearance rack, or trying to find ways to earn a few dollars back on my purchases. So I decided, why not put y’all up on game!? Cashback apps are the way to go if you like to shop and want to relieve some of your shopper’s remorse. Here are my top 4 cashback and rewards apps. I have listed them in order of most used to least used, along with links to get you signed up! Happy Getting Money Back!

Rakuten Cash Back

What is Rakuten? Rakuten is where you can get Cash Back for shopping at over 3,500 stores.

I have been a member of Rakuten since 2016 and it is by far the best app I have used to get cashback. You can earn cashback when you shop in stores and online. Stores pay Rakuten a commission for sending you their way, and Rakuten shares the commission with you as Cash Back. Rakuten also has a Google Chrome extension you can use, in addition to their website and app. All you have to do is sign up, add your card information, and find the store you want to shop. They will show you how much percent you can get back, and BAM! You are spending money and getting money at the same time.

One thing that sets Rakuten apart from others is the store options. They have almost any store the average person shop.

There are even days you can get double or triple cashback! Just always check the app before shopping. If you have the Google Chrome extension, the cashback offers will appear once you are on the website. Last Christmas I received 2% cashback on a Nike purchase. I didn’t remember to check Rakuten, but my Google Chrome extension held it down.

Fetch Rewards

What is Fetch Rewards? Fetch Rewards is a mobile app that rewards shoppers for buying the brands they love by snapping their receipts.

You’re missing out on extra cash if you are not saving your receipts to scan them for points. Fetch Rewards is the GOAT to earn points by scanning receipts that will eventually lead to getting gift cards. These gift cards work like you are receiving cashback. Once you earn the points you desire, choose a store of your choice to redeem the gift card.

I scan every receipt I receive. Before you know it, you can buy something without spending money in your bank account.

Ibotta

What is Ibotta? Ibotta is a free cash-back rewards web, and mobile allows you to receive cashback on your everyday purchases.

I usually use Ibotta for groceries only, but you can use this app for various items. Ibotta supports a variety of retailers like Target, Walmart, Aldi, and more. This cashback site can be used via the app or Google Chrome extension

Below are 3 options for you to earn cash back.

  1. Submit your receipt. First, you select the retailer you shopped at and add offers for the products you plan to buy. After you shop, submit a photo of your receipt to get cashback on the qualifying items.

  2. Link your loyalty accounts. Ibotta provides loyalty-linking options for in-store and grocery pickup & delivery at select retailers.

  3. Purchase a gift card from your favorite retailer or restaurant. You can get cashback on the entire amount. You don’t have to use the gift card immediately.

Dosh

Last but not least is Dosh. I don’t use Dosh often, because I don’t always see retailers that I shop frequently. However, I have seen more stores like Macy’s, Ulta, and Old Navy lately. These are stores I shop at, so I am excited. Just know the retailers differ based on the area, so hopefully, you can get it poppin’ with your cashback on this app.

You can earn cashback when you shop, dine, or book hotels. All you have to do is download the app and link the cards you use to shop with. You must select credit vs. debit for the cashback to process when you shop. One thing I love about this app is that I don't have to go to a select retailer. The offer automatically applies if I shop at a store that qualifies and pays as credit.

Sign up for Dosh today to start earning cashback on your purchases.

Download these cash back apps and start cashing in on those offers. Whether it's your weekly grocery haul, some online shopping therapy, or booking your next getaway, these apps can help you earn some cash on those purchases. These are the best cash-back apps I have come across and yes, you can use Ibotta, Rakuten, Fetch, and Dosh at the same time. So, don’t feel like you only have to choose one all. You have the potential to earn cashback and rewards from multiple sources. Happy Savings!
